New Blog to Help Solve BC's Wild Salmon Crisis

Hello (From Alexandra Morton)

The enormous public concern over the collapse of Fraser sockeye has motivated me to build a blog so that we can communicate about what is happening, what is known and what needs to be done.  Many of you on this list want to get involved, while others can’t bear any more emails, which I certainly understand. So if you want to know more and to be able to communicate as a community please go to the site at the bottom of this email. I have posted maps, videos, (including one of Minister Shea receiving our letter last week in Norway and actually opening it and looking at it), as well as my best understanding of the situation. Some wild salmon species, such as pink salmon, are doing very well, some runs of sockeye are also flourishing.  The collapse is very specific. If we read the situation accurately we will be able to figure this out and fix it.

It is increasingly clear that if we want wild salmon and all the benefits they bring that it is up to us.
