Sept. 13th :: Eagle Eye Theatre in Howe Sound Secondary School 38430 Buckley Ave., Squamish Charlie Russell Author and Grizzly Bear Researcher - Living with Grizzlies of Kamchatka - a 50 minute documentary by Jeff and Sue Turner, renowned producers of BBC who spent 1.5 years documenting one season of 11 years Charlie spent in Russia. In those years, Charlie Russell rescued 10 orphaned grizzly cubs from a Russian zoo, took them to his wilderness cabin in the South Kamchatka Sanctuary, gave them protection and helped them become wild again. In return they taught him the joys of living for each moment with much greater attention. Q & A with Charlie as well as a panel of bear experts responding to local bear issues after film. Charlie will be available for book signing. Doors open 6:30 film begins @ 7:30 Tix $12 at the door.

I have long been a suppppppppppppppporter of bears esp black bear in Ont. constantly under threat, their territory slowly dimished. WIl anyone out there be able to help to abolish fall bear hunt here?
